I’ve been seriously pondering simply deleting swaplifters’ profiles. I know that there are pros and cons to this, so I wanted some feedback before I started doing it. The pros are that I don’t have to sift through all of their rehashes and delete them 1 by 1, and that they lose their karma, forcing them to sign up all over again as a new user, preventing even more swaplifting (or at least in the beginning until they build up karma). The cons are that if the people owe traders items, they will no longer have a means of communication with the swaplifter and any hope of recouping their items is gone. Although, the latter is pretty much a given…most swaplifters won’t pony up anything no matter how many times you contact them. What are your thoughts? Should we be deleting them if they don’t respond to the admins in a timely manner or simply ignore our messages? JACKSONVILLE, FL |

Keep their profiles, but give them a ‘swaplifter’ karma face? Like maybe a red one with a big frown? And if anyone swaps with them despite the warning, I don’t think anyone can really be held accountable except that person. |

The word ‘SWAPLIFTER’ should be visible on their page in big red letters. |

As much as I LOVE this idea… We don’t have the ability to change profile information. JACKSONVILLE, FL |

True. I think it’s a great idea but our lack of ability to do so kind of hinders the actions. Plus, if we did that, then the user would most likely not log in, thus not giving anyone their belongings. :\ Fort Worth, Tx |
