I can only hope that my fellow Rehashers did something special yesterday to celebrate the occasion. Though, of couse, we can all agree Earth Day should be every day. But to honor the holiday, I’d love to hear from some of you.

I’ll start, seeing as I’ve been naughty about posting for a while…

I planted a few new blooms in my urban garden: More forget-me-nots, a handful of purple zinnias, and some herbs.

I conducted a kids craft at my store. I pulled out some paints and with purchase of a tote or apron they created a “we love our Earth” design.

my family (hubby + 2 kids) spent a few hours in the yard transplanting, planting, pruning, weeding, etc.

Beka, sounds like you spent the day much like I did! Except I didn’t have fun help like you, haha. It’s great that you can get the rest of the family motivated to get out there and work on the yard. I’ve always thought it’d be a great bonding experience to have a family garden where everyone helps out and works together keeping it up and gorgeous.

For Earth day, I went shopping with a gal pal at Buffalo Exchange’s Annual Save-The-Animals $1 Sale, and donated a little extra. Then we took my friend’s dog to the dog park—-not exactly contributing to the Earth, but I do feel good about saving animals :) -Proud member of ASPCA :)
