Soooooo excited the series is back! Just saw the back-to-back premiere episodes? Yay! SEMI-SPOILER ALERT! Score one for getting talented writers on staff!!! Loved how they captured some of the tension from the first season and brought together some of the frayed storylines from the ill-fated season 2. Only thing that pissed me off was that the stupid goopy-eyed Maya chick is still alive. WTF??? And, for those of you that noticed, I just edited my original post rather than adding to the bottom because I already post too much on this website! Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

You know, I loved it season one, and got tired of it in season 2. I thought it was funny when they started advertising it this time around. they say if you thought it sucked last year, check back in, they’ve fixed it! Of course, that’s not ver batum. Do you watch Eureka, too? That was my other favorite! Land O Lakes, FL |

My commentary from last night’s premiere: Heroes Season 3 looks like it will rock! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the whole feel… much more like Season 1. I guess money CAN buy a better script. I’m a little annoyed that Hiro is once again the geeky, silly Japanese boy. I thoughts that his experiences in the previous seasons would have matured him. But it makes for a more interesting story to have him be this way with Ando as the straight guy… I already have theories as to what he saw when he teleported into the future! Ando, a bad a$$ Hero??? I really enjoyed the f’ed Nathan. It so makes sense since he’s been such a “lost” character, out of touch with himself and not sure how to proceed. He’s such a tool. Almost as bad as Parkman… but not quite. Speaking of Parkman. Dropping him in Africa had me howling with laughter. Yes. Perfect. And Tracy… is she really Niki/Jessica? Any theories? Mine is that she isn’t Niki/Jessica… that she really is a different person.. perhaps the “dead” twin that Niki thinks is her split personality… after all, where is Micah? I bet Ali Larter LOVES that she gets to be this character… she wears all the great clothes on the show! Anyone else enjoy that she’s the “ice queen”??? LOL Last but not least…. Sylar is a Petrelli? Okay, I felt a little manipulated… but I loved it… it fits with the whole Elder Heroes acting like little G-ds running the world. They knowingly let him run amuck killing other “weaker” Heroes, absorbing those powers and making himself into a bigger, more bad a$$ “Hero” that they can know use for their own gain. He’s so emotionally needy… I see him turning into Mama Petrelli’s lap dog. Oh, wait. PS. WTF with that Maya girl being alive? Did the writers need a Latina on the show THAT bad? I guess I was placated with her being the catalyst of Mohinder finally becoming a little more interesting… Indian Fly Boy… LOL Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

I’ve been waiting for this season since midway through season 2. At least they sort of acknowledged it sucked. Canandaigua, New York |

Commentary from my friend, S: I know! Last night’s episode had so much going on I almost needed notecards to keep track. I agree with the twin theory for Tracy….or maybe triplets? They could be some sort of Company genetic experiment….breeding hot heroes or something. I was a little disappointed by the whole Mohinder as Jeff Goldbloom in the fly story, since I’ve seen it before…..but, Mohinder all sweaty with his shirt off almost completely made up for it. and I have no idea how the Latin chick rose from the dead, she is still annoying…but has a smoking hot body. Maybe if she talked less, and ran around naked more I might tolerate her. I liked Sylar as a Petrelli…..which makes me wonder if maybe Nathan or Peter aren’t real Petrellis…..who knows? Sylar has total mommy issues, so this should be interesting. I liked that they showed a glimpse of mamma Petrelli’s power finally – awesome! My FAVORITE story line, was the Nathan finds God story. Love how they are bringing the whole religion aspect into the plot…and I liked the Lindeman twist – is he really there? a ghost? a figment of Nathan’s f-*ked up mind? God? Who knows. Awesome! PS – why is it that future bad Claire has to be a brunette? Come on! Blondes can be evil too! :-) Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

“Breeding hot heroes”... hilarious. Yes, the writers obviously got stuck with what to do with Mohinder. My guess is that he’s cheap to keep on the payroll compared to the climbing salaries of the other stars. So they figured they’d get a little sci-fi with his subplot. They made it worth our while by having him beef up for the shirtless scenes… after all, if we don’t get to see Nathan or Peter without shirts, they have to give us something to look at, right? (Remember that drinking game? “Shirtless Peter, everyone drink!”) I’m very into the idea of Mama Petrelli making little super kids. Hee! And Claire as a brunette isn’t bad. We already have Elle and Niki/Jessica/Tracy… too many b*tchy blondes in one script. Plus, we need something visual to clue us in to the future vs. present characters. We’re not that smart, remember? And I don’t think of her as actually “bad”... although I find it ironic that it’s Peter who now thinks he can travel to the past and fix things… didn’t we learn this lesson with Hiro? I guess Hiro forgot to tell future Peter what happened even though it’s a pretty good guess that they all stay in touch… Nathan’s G-d complex is great… all the Heroes seem to experience this at some point along the way. Nice manipulation of the catch phrase too “Save us, save the world.” I totally think Linderman is “there”. After all, remember Charles Deveraux’s power? Linderman’s body may be gone, but his consciousness is still around… we get a clue about that with Peter being trapped in Jesse’s body, right? That little device made it easy for me to make that leap. Oh yes… a sign that Heroes is BIG. Dooney & Burke have a “Hayden” bag in their line now. wonder how that product placement will work itself into the script. “Wait, Dad! I forgot my Dooney & Burke in the Nissan Rogue!”... speaking of products… the African guy saying, “Should have gotten Sprint!” killed, yes killed me!!! Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

And for those in the Marketing world. That Sprint line as well as the Nissan Versa and Rogue references from previous seasons are examples of what is being coined “PRODUCT INTEGRATION”. Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

I missed it! I’ll wait until it comes on DVD so I can watch it all at once. I can’t stand to only be able to watch one episode each week! :) Bakersfield, CA |

Now I love you Jenny, but you may not like me after this… I didn’t really dig it. It was TOO much in one episode. I decided to try it out again, after dropping it last season. But it was really like “See, we can come up with stuff for EVERYONE!” Just too much in too small a time slot. I’m going to watch the next episode and see if they were just like eager teenage boys letting it all out too soon… hehe, i crack myself up. But i wasn’t really impressed… and i thought they screwed up with flying indian man. he was SOOO out of character first taking the serum and then the stupid way he acted after. i would have bought if he deliberated it for a show or two, or had reason that he felt he HAD to do it, or accidentally was exposed to it… don’t know, something more in character. and what in the hell was he doing at the train yard anyways? he could have done it at home. why walk around with it in you pocket and go there? How could I not like the other half of the Jenbyr? Not possible! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion… especially when it comes to TV shows. LOL I concede that there is A LOT going on in the two premiere episodes, but that is kind of what made Heroes so cool. A huge cast all running around doing stuff and then WHAM they all end up in one place (and with one purpose) for the season finale. If the writing staff can pull the threads together into one cohesive plot then they will have the makings of a great show. I agree the Mohinder story is lame. Believe me… I’m hoping he’ll change into a giant bug and eat Maya before one of the Heroes (any of them, I don’t care) storms into Isaac’s studio/Mohinder’s lab and freezes/radiates/saber slashes/rips apart/electrifies him until definitely dead. This week’s episode… still great! Yes, I KNOW so much of the show feels like an X-Men rip-off, but I like the sense of familiarity. How much did you like Sylar as the new company man? G-d, Mama Petrelli IS evil incarnate… Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

Do you know if they have the same writers as season 1? Land O Lakes, FL |

Not from what I’ve read. Tim Kring wrote Season 1 without knowing where the show was going. In fact, NBC got it for a song because Yahoo! (who now feel like idiots) passed on the show as an internet series. So after the show proved its popularity, Kring had to scramble to write a follow up… hence the messy plots lines and inconsistencies of Season 2. NBC got the hint from fans though and threw a some money at a writing staff only to get sidelined by the Writers Strike. Living within close proximity of Hollywood provides with WAY too much of this kind of information. Can you imagine how bad I would be if I actually had cable TV? In the interest of keeping topics green or fashion-related… did you like how the African prophesy guy used all natural paints and even re-used his rock “canvas” when the future changed? Oh, it was going so well… and then… well, this past Monday’s lackluster episode is what happened. Yes, Robert Forrester as the elusive G-dfatherish Papa Petrelli is kind of cool. But the Mohinder as fly/snake/spider is just dumb and the acting by the Claire/Noah/Gabriel trio was lame. I almost cried in my TV dinner when I watched in online last night… Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

And… they’re back! This past week’s episode was back on track. Reading the blogs it appears that there are different Directors working on the series. So maybe that explains last week? Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

And now that the 3-part Season finale has aired, I can leave this horrid roller coaster love affair far, far behind me. When Heroes was good, it was very, very good. But when it was bad, it sucked! If I ever meet Tim Kring, I am going to kick him in the shins for selling out on his great idea. What the ‘ell was up with this season? The plot holes multiplied faster than a super hero guinea pig on adrenaline… what a let down. Thankfully, I happened upon another Monday night show that stole my heart… The Big Bang Theory!!!
