Are there any cases where you would not leave karma? Personally, even if I found that the items did not meet my expectations for whatever reason, I leave good karma unless the trader really got the condition completely wrong or the information was WAY off. Even then, there’s been times I’ve still left good karma without comments. But I’ve noticed that there are many cases where I do not have karma for completed trades. So I’m curious, how do you handle karma? If you didn’t like the item in the end, do you forgo giving it? If it didn’t fit or didn’t look right on you or whatever, do you leave out the karma? I always always leave karma. But there is still one girl who has not left me karma. But i believe her to be off the site, she does not reply to my messages or anything. I shipped her box 2 months ago with DC, and she had already shipped mine previously. But she has said nothing. Maybe you guys know her, Katie. Jacksonville, FL |

I haven’t heard much from her lately, but I did trade extensively with her for a while. I received Karma on every trade. Land O Lakes, FL |

In some cases, people just don’t spend as much time as WE do on the website. As a result, they don’t always check their “Completed Trades” to see if they have left karma. Both of you have plenty of good karma. Does it really matter if someone hasn’t left karma? One email reminder is enough. If they didn’t express displeasure with the trade and have not responded, just accept that they might not be the karma-leaving type and don’t trade with them again. Wow, if only the answer to how to best restructure our economy was this easy! Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

Generally, I totally agree with you. It just struck me a bit off… there were about 7 people that I traded with a few times each, that didn’t leave it. Though some were occasional rehashers, some are very well-versed and known on the site. Isn’t a big deal, it just got me curious is all. And um, I have an extra copy of my program, if you’d like it Miss Jenny… :) Providing you have Access, that is. I dropped my VB one. Land O Lakes, FL |

LOVE CLOTHES! over 15 years ago | |
I think if you get something from someone and it didn’t fit or didn’t look good on you, you should still leave karma (if you’re the karma leaving type) b/c it isn’t their fault…I mean how many times do woman go shopping and find something they love and the tag says their size, head to the fitting room and sadly it doesn’t work out…everyone is built differently and it would be awesome if clothes were custom made but they’re not. Its a risk getting clothing without trying it on first. I have a ton of things posted on here that DO fit but not to my liking and hopefully what looks bad on me will look great on someone else!!! I say if they ship the items within a reasonable amount of time & the stuff matches their description when they posted it, then it’s worth leaving a word or two of positive feedback especially if they left you + . It’s true though, some people don’t even realize how to do things on the computer…when i first became a member of ebay—i didn’t know how to leave someone feedback (stupid I know) but i finally figured it out-i was computer illiterate then. I actually just figured out where to do it on rehash :) I never got any email updates about it though… |

I wish there was a “neutral” karma instead of being good or bad. I’ve gotten a few items that were very misrepresented/flawed to the point were they can’t be worn, and I didn’t know how to handle it. They did get shipped, but weren’t even close to what was described. In cases like that it’s hard to decide what kind of feedback to give the person…so for a while I didn’t leave any. For the most part though, as long as they send it I try to leave a positive even if it’s with a grain of salt :P |

I once tried to leave amazing karma for the amazing Deborah only to realize it never showed up. Apparently my gushing message was too long… but I didn’t receive an error message… the message just didn’t go through at all. It was weeks later before I figured out what had happened.
