Questions, is it supposed to be scented lotions or unscented? When I was in the Army, we were only permitted unscented (like palmer’s unscented coco butter) because some people have allergies to the smells and because bugs are attracted to scents. They didn’t care about our body wash, as the smell decreases so quickly. Just a thought. Land O Lakes, FL |

Yay! I’m sending you a care package hopefully next week! I’ve been wanting to do this but I didn’t know what to do:( I saw a website where I can adopt a soldier but I didn’t want to send items to just one person. Bakersfield, CA |

Oh, where can you adopt a soldier?!? I want to do that! I love that personal connection you can make that way. And it makes “your” lil trooper (hehe) feel so warm and special. Land O Lakes, FL |

I’m not sure why the bpdy wash is listed as “scented”. I’m pretty sure we can use any kind. Last year, we sent out several hundred packages… I’ll be sure to post photos of the assembly operation! Thanks so much!!! Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

I did find a place that does the adopt a soldier program. I checked them out to be sure they were reputable. I now own my very own soldier! haha, jk. At any rate, my soldier is in Afghanistan, doing his second tour. I think what really got me was that he requested very few items personally, asking more for toys and school items for the children of his area. Way to inspire, Jenny and Henley!!! Land O Lakes, FL |

There’s just one cardinal rule of shipping packages to soldiers: don’t mix soaps and food in the same package or those cookies will taste like Ivory Soap by the time they arrive. My mother just sent me a package containing 2 scented candles, chocolates, and Halloween Peeps, and even after just a few days of cross-country transit, everything tasted like Yankee Candles. So please, pick a theme for each box—it can be an edible-filled box or a bodywash/deodorant/shampoo box, but not both in one! Good luck with this project! Fountain Hills, AZ |
