The opening ceremony is winding down right now. The U.S. has I think 216 athletes competing. Is anyone else going to watch? I’m going to try to catch as much of the figure skating as possible (this is my favorite!)... hockey and speed skating too. Pittsburgh, PA |

Heck yah I’m going to watch. Confession- I get so nervous during the figure skating that I often look away right before jumps! I usually just see the replay of how the jump turned out! So sad to hear about the young man that died though. :( Only 21 and pursuing an Olympic dream. :( San Antonio, Texas |

Heck yah I’m going to watch. Confession- I get so nervous during the figure skating that I often look away right before jumps! I usually just see the replay of how the jump turned out! Really? Aww… they usually turn out beautifully I think. I get nervous sometimes for particular skaters that I like or am following, but not the others, and I always watch everyone’s whole performance if I’m able to. Thinking about figure skating made me look up Michelle Kwan videos on YouTube. I just watched this one… (okay actually watched it several times): I tear up a little bit at the end when she does… she is probably my favorite skater. So sad to hear about the young man that died though. :( Only 21 and pursuing an Olympic dream. :( Yeah, that is terrible :( :( Pittsburgh, PA |
