I just made a tasty sandwich…Yumm Its not so cheap but way cheaper than going out to eat. Total cost to feed 4 adults $12.00 1 pound thin slice roast beef bought at deli counter 1 jar giardiniera pepper mix(wont use them all) 1 bag of shredded mozz cheese(you wont use it all) 1 package of french bread rolls(usually come in a package of 6 near the deli) 1 pouch of Lawry’s Gravy Mix, Au Jus(will not be thick, meant to be like a juice not a thick gravy) 1st step-follow directions on gravy mix- 3 cups of water add mix-boil 2nd step-add all meat into boiling gravy(cook only for 1 minute) 3nd- turn off flame 4th- place meat into bread(dont pull bread apart leave bottom closed) 5th-add mozz cheese on top 6th- spoon peppers on top(for me, the more the better) 7th- spoon juice over the top of sandwich(this will melt cheese and make bread a lil soggy) 8th eat and enjoy Total prep time 5 minutes or less You can serve with mashed potatoes if you choose. Serves 4 adults Stay tuned for what to do with the two left over french bread rolls and mozz cheese! Midwest, USA |

So, you have two left over french bread rolls and mozz cheese from the last recipe… You can pick up a small package of pepperoni slices…97.cents Buy a small jar or can of pizza sauce 1.50-2.00 1st slice the bread, so you will have four halves 2nd spread sauce, add cheese top with pepperoni 3rd place in toaster oven until melted and crispy…. Its like having mini pizzas:) Feeds 2-4 Midwest, USA |

I like doing pastas - Something that’s pretty easy, inexpensive and delicious is bowtie (or other) pasta, a large can of italian seasoned diced tomatoes and some ground meat (do the ratios as you please). I think $15 feeds 4-6. To jazz it up a little more, add fresh grown basil, cheese and serve garlic bread on the side :) |
