I am running across a LOT of people on this site without paypal accounts that are trying to purchase items. I am curious why someone would be OK with sending a check or cash through the mail, but not OK with having a paypal account. They are SO much safer AND FREE! I ONLY accept paypal payment because of this very reason. ...thoughts, opinions? Dacula, GA |

My paypal got hacked. That’s why I don’t use it anymore. But, I guess ’;m not also trying to buy or sell on any site… Jefferson, Georgia |

I think it’s because of lack of information the person has about Paypal in general. At first I didn’t want to get one because I thought it would be complicated to set up but it’s very easy. It’s very secure since credit card information is never shown. If a website I’m shopping on offer paypal checkout I always choose to go that route. I’ve never had a problem with someone trying to hack into it but in case of that there’s always customer support that you can call. They’re super friendly and helpful. |

Another negative thing about paypal is when you want to delete your account they make it extremely difficult because they do not want you to leave. My boyfriend had this happen to him and that is why I never got one. HAWTHORNE, CA |

Paypal isn’t free. It costs money for the seller to receive money. JACKSONVILLE, FL |

I used to not want a paypal account because I thought it was going to be difficult. Now I have one, but I do know paypal accounts have been hacked so I only buy from ‘reputable’ sources. A lot of people just don’t want to go through the hassle of setting up the account, which is perfectly understandable. |

I HATE Paypal I have an account but i take all my credi and bank information off only add for a purchase and then delete. I got hacked on it twice and i sold 2 items and they both lied and one said she didnt receive it even after the delivery confirmation said it was…I lost over $350 with paypal, so i can understand why people are scared. Plus this is a swap site (REHASH “An easy way to swap clothes, make friends, get answers, and help the environment.”), i will let someone buy if they really want it and don’t have something i want but not really interested on the selling thing. jsut my opinion! maybe some people don’t have a credit card/bank account? I have paypal but have paid with concealed cash, via priority mail with a delivery confirmation. the only upside that I see with paypal is both buyer and seller have protection. I had someone try to scam me out of money (on a different swapping site) and paypal got it back for me in under two weeks. Burbank, CA |
