Dude, screw that site. I made a swap with a girl, and her listing did not state that the Urban Decay Primer was a sample size, though she claimed it did, but strangely she deleted the initial posting of the item, so I can’t even post a link for proof. I sent her a Sonia Kashuk e/s quad and a Stila e/s in Jade pan for this item, which are worth over $30 together, and I let her know I wasn’t happy with the swap, and now she has “chosen not to receive messages from me”. She obviously knew that the item was a sample size (worth $8), and yet she asked for those two items. Ugh. Has anyone encountered this before?!

I’m sorry that happened to you. No matter what swapping site you use, there are always going to be shady people, unfortunately. That’s why I would never trade something I absolutely could not live without (being slightly dramatic here). I only use Makeup Alley for the forums and reviews. I don’t trust used makeup anymore, since I got a very contagious virus in my eye a few months ago.

that really sucks :( I’ve only had good experiences on MUA. have you left her a token yet? you should leave her negative feedback (or neutral) so that future swappers will know she’s less-than-honest.

I love MUA, I swap there a lot (about 60 tokens). I think you will run into people like that on any site. It annoys people on MUA but I ask for a photo of everything I swap there. Most MU items don’t have pics in the swap ads. It clears up a lot of the size issues. Out of curiosity, who is the swapper?

I’ve been on MUA for almost 3 years now and have only had great experiences, I have about 175 tokens I think, however I HATE how you can leave anyone a token without having a swap! I once swapped with someone who had “swaplifted” others but our swap went smoothly. A girl who had been wronged by the SL came in and left me a negative token on an account made for leaving bad feedback for this girl! I emailed the creators of MUa and got the feedback removed and the account, as well as the girl who actually had a real account as well. Some people will just be crappy, and thats everywhere on the NEt.

I’m really sorry, Sandy. I used to trade on MUA too (same username), but stopped because people over there aren’t as into clothes (and I’m not really into cosmetics)... that and I’ve gotten some pretty worn/crappy/not as described clothes from users there.

I’m on MUA also, and if you’re having a problem swap, you can go to Swaptawk and register as a “problem swap that needs a resolution” member. Just google Swaptawk and follow the link’s instructions. The mods are MUA icons and can get in touch with the appropriate people to assist you with problem swaps.
