i have been working on a swap with a rehash user since nov. 9th. i sent her nice things with the understanding that if they did not fit we would trade back ,on the first trade . she was going to send my initial trades back but never did. i listed more items ,she decided she wanted more items instead of her item back. i sent her more items. her ship to me was $5. i have now shipped two large package to her at a cost of more than $20. she has now sent all of my items back. she now wants me to send her original item back to her. note, her item was perfume she did not like to begin with. now i have to send her item back & incur more shipping. i do not think that this kind of thing is the spirit of this site. i am out $20 & have nothing to show for it. not to mention i have already given her good karma & still have to ship again. i think people should understand when they are using rehash they are not shopping at saks fifth avenue. i will be adding to my profile that there are no swapbacks, NONE. i have gotten some swaps that i have not been real happy with either but i live with it, rehash them again & go on about my business. i will send your perfume back & i will not name you in this post but you know who you are, i will not trade with you again & if i know one of my trade friends are swapping with you i will warn them that you are an overly picky trader. if you only want brand new items that are guaranteed to fit & please you, i think you are in the wrong place. i am not trying to be ugly, only honest. am i wrong, please give me some feedback…... orange beach, al |

Swapbacks? I’ve never heard of such a thing? Sometimes you don’t get exactly what you want or it doesn’t fit… but that’s part of the deal. I have gotten several things that I didn’t keep. But I relisted them, gave them away or turned them into an upcycled creation. (There has only been one exception to this… and that was a trade with someone I trade with in person pretty often so no postage or additional costs were incured.) We don’t want to call her out here, but seriously don’t trade with this Rehasher anymore. AND… let’s not forget… Rehashing is an effort to reduce waste. Shipping items back and forth across the country IS wasteful. Okay, okay… getting down off my soapbox. Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

i have since found out she had already promised the same item to another rehasher. she just left her hanging until the other girl just cancelled the trade. i just sent a rather scathing e-mail to her. i stated that i had no authority here whatsoever but that she might want to rethink her place here on rehash. that i thought this was a place to make friends & trade used, unless otherwise stated as new, items. i have added a statement on my profile about no swapbacks & i intend to stick to it. orange beach, al |
