What will fit me, and my preferences in clothing and shoes are detailed below:
I wear 22W and 22WP/Short for pants is appreciated. I hate having to hem everything :) Occasionally I can wear a 24W if the cut is very slim.
Prefer natural fabrics, although blended knits are fine as long as they breathe and aren’t clingy or too sheer. Not into dry-clean only garments, unless it’s a very special occasion piece.
Not a big fan of pink, orange, yellow or screaming red, although earth-tone reds/rusts are nice, or prints that have only a minor bit of the unflattering (on me) colors.
Not a fan of sleeveless tops/dresses. Skirts/dresses need to be knee length or better. Shorts – I will wear only the longer, bermuda type walking shorts.
Shoes are a 9 or 9.5 D/E or W/WW. In EU sizes, typically a 40 W. Have a fused ankle that doesn’t bend, so I cannot wear anything above a 1” heel, and generally no ankle straps unless they will fit a 13” circumference and have a velcro type closure. Not a fan of very pointy toes either, as my feet are more on the square side :) Favorite brands are Clarks, Dankso, Easy Spirit, and other comfortable styles that are supportive and have well constructed insoles/arches. Can’t wear flimsy flats.
