Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (CF₃SO₃H), also known as triflic acid, is a superacid with extremely high acidity (pKa ≈ –14). It is one of the strongest known acids, stronger than sulfuric acid, and is colorless, hygroscopic, and thermally stable.
