Natural Gas Heater Repair
Many people use gas heaters to keep warm in winter. Natural gas heaters work with a pilot lamp that heat up the burner, thereby distributing heat and keeping you warm. But what if the indicator suddenly stopped working? We will provide you with some tips for repairing your gas-fired heater.
In order to better diagnose the problem, you need to know how a gas heater generally works. There is such a part as a thermocouple, which is located next to the burner. If suddenly the lamp goes out, then the thermocouple works as a fuse and turns off the gas supply.
If your lamp has stopped burning, then the problem may be with the thermocouple. It is possible that the thermocouple is dirty and the sensor stops working, it is recommended to clean the thermocouple. If this does not help, then it is obvious that your thermocouple needs to be replaced, as it can wear out over the years.
Another necessary action is to adjust the flame. This is if your lamp is dim or blinking. The temperature may not be set, so thermocouple problems may occur.
It is also recommended to check the gas level or if there is an uncoordinated pilot lamp tip. If you have tried all the methods, but your natural gas heater does not work , then you should call a technician to safely repair your heater.
