I found Rehash when I was looking for some local clothes swapping people/events/sites. If you are in my area (NE MN) and are interested or know of any, please drop me a note thru here!

I’ve lost about 50 pounds through 2012, and have maintained this healthy weight for me for a year now, so I have mostly larger sizes (12-24) to swap for smaller ones from you. I also have things in smaller sizes that I haven’t worn in a long time, and have determined I probably never will again. These need to go for good!!

I’m short-waisted (neck to hip I’m short) with long limbs (32” inseam, have to watch sleeve length) and curves. Darts, seaming or other shaping on tops are helpful as are curved waistbands on pants. I currently wear about a modern size 8 in pants and around a 10 in tops, but I rely more on measurements than on size. I AM NOT FIXATED ON CLOTHING SIZES ON LABELS, IT’S ALL ABOUT FIT!! Clothing measurements—especially bust at underarm, widest point of hip and inseams for pants—OR your measurements & about how tight/loose the items are on you is what I need to know. If you’ve got some classic or vintage pieces that are marked size 12, or size 20—if they fit me and I like the color & style, I don’t care what the label says!!

Other than clothes in my size & style, I really like MUSIC! I like upbeat, positive, bubblegum-type music (80s 50s, 60s non-disco 70s, country rock…) and I love singer/songwriter, coffeehouse/easy listening music. If you have CD’s, records or tapes, send me a list of artists & album titles you have to offer. With rare exceptions, I don’t like rap, metal, funk, disco, electronica or anything heavily auto-tuned (90s/00s). Gift cards to Walmart or Target would be ok too!

I just want to make sure I get something I can use in exchange for the postage (and the items). Multi-item swaps appreciated—doesn’t make sense to spend $5 to ship a trade for one item that I could get for $4 here, and know that it fit before paying. If you have something I really like, I might anyways, but I’d rather swap several items at a time.

Of course, if you’re local & we can meet up, I’ll be a lot less selective! Even trading for other clothes that don’t fit me could be an option if you meet me at a time & place of my convenience. Just keep in mind that neither of us should wait around 20 minutes for a single t-shirt or pair of shorts, so multiswaps and meeting where & when it’s convenient for both is key!

We’re a non-smoking, no pets household, so you shouldn’t have any allergy issues with my items. However, I am sensitive to pipe/cigar smoke, florals and linen scented items (Lysol, starch, fabric refresher, room sprays, etc.) I use only unscented or fruit scented products. If you use noticeably floral and/or linen scented laundry soap or fabric softener, or have a heavy smoker in your household, I may need to air out the stuff for a few days before I bring it in the house to look at it. Won’t turn me off from trading, but would appreciate a warning. Thanks!!
