Hi. I’m curious to get a few opinions on something. How do y’all feel about buying products that are made in America (or made in your home country)? I’ve been trying to start buying things that are made in America, or at least made in a country that protects its workers, but it’s been much harder than I expected. Has anyone tried this as well? How has it worked for you? Jefferson, Georgia |

I try to buy American, but I am not as serious about it as my Mom in Law, who tries to buy exclusively American made items. I think it is important to keep our resources within our own economy as much as possible, plus it’s better for the environment and global resources as a whole to cut transportation expenses. However, it is very hard – I wish American manufacturers would pitch in and make the job easier, i.e. providing products we want at appropriate prices. Manchester, New Hampshire |

I try to buy American when it’s available and within my budget. I don’t mind paying a little bit more… but if it’s like double the cost, I can’t afford it. :/ Stockton, CA |

i do buy the majority of my consumables only made here. i agree that it is important and for a variety of reasons. one thing that is important to me is that my otc meds are made here in america because we adhear to stricter rules and regualtions regaurding ingredients. but, clothes and what not is harder since i only by second hand… where it is hot and cold in the same season!, |
