1. When people don’t read the info on my profile. Especially since they will offer me clothes that won’t fit me. Seriously, it takes two seconds to see that I am a size M/L not XS/S. And you would also realize that I am no longer accepting new trades. 2. When no size is listed on the rehash. I understand that sometimes the tag is missing and you aren’t certain – this is when you should use an EDUCATED GUESS. Leaving it blank will just make us skip over the item and it will never get traded… 3. The other trader can’t find an item and sends you random clothes in place of them. Sometimes things DO get lost (trust me, it’s happened to me too). But DO NOT send random clothes, it’s just not fair. Explain that you can’t find the item and offer up other things that they’re watching OR send back some of the clothes that I sent to you. Spring Valley, CA |

If someone sent me a random item in place of something without asking first, that’d be an instant swap reversal for me. Jefferson, Georgia |

i’ve had the random item done before. i was so angry ! especially since the trader decided to disappear off the face of Earth right after our trade was made. it’s really unfair to the person receiving. i absolutely hate it when people send offers without giving your well-being a second thought, it’s a bit rude & just plain annoying. i’ve had it occur several times, i’m about to just straight up decline each one that isn’t even relevant to my sizes…sigh… FULLERTON, CA |

I didn’t want to go through all the hassle of sending her items back and everything so I just kept them with hope that I could later Rehash them. Cause they’re not ugly. Just not my style or size whatsoever…. still pretty unfair. Spring Valley, CA |

My pet peeves are people sending me swap requests for my items with items of theirs in the request that I’m not watching, and would not even be interested in, people not reading my profile, and lastly, but def not least: people who IGNORE my emails or lack in the communication skills department. i agree with everything that has been said previously and wanted to add a few 1. items listed with no picture and no avitar (makes me feel like i cant trust them…) 2. inaccuratly described items 3. generally non-discriptive titles which makes it hard to view rehashes w/o clicking on everything 4. people who list cool stuff and then never log back on making it impossible for me to get those items i like! where it is hot and cold in the same season!, |

My biggest pet peeve in swapping would be when people low ball you.. I actually had someone send me a request for a Coach bag once for a bracelet.. not a super nice bracelet either.. come on!? Really?! I am not $ for $.. but it has to be somewhat balanced.. grrr! |

I’m not really easily peeved. OK, I may be a little, but I realize that any negative feelings are my reaction, and not inherently intrinsic in the other person’s action. That said, people taking unnecessary offense deeply furrows my brow. I act in my own best interest and I hope everyone else does too. People who have a problem with that piss me off! If I decline an offer, or make an offer that someone doesn’t like… it’s nothing personal. Don’t make it personal. Oh wait! I do have a peeve :) Read my messages! I’m not just talking about opening them and shooting a word back, but read the actual words. I try my hardest to be extremely direct and clear, and so when misunderstandings happen due to the other person’s poor reading comprehension, that irks me. But not too much, as I’m usually on here at 3am so I can sympathize with a pair of tired eyes. Unless the chick gets angry over the fact that she misunderstood me, then WTF? Really?! I am not $ for $.. but it has to be somewhat balanced.. grrr! That is my biggest pet peeve. Especially when the person says that they will swap generously. I also hate it when people gripe about the shipping talking about how expensive it is going to be and then it ends up being the same or you pay more for shipping than the griper did. WACO, Texas |

Communication in general is a big thing for me. It doesn’t take long to send a quick message that something was sent or something came up. Or if I send you a message with a question in it, please respond. There are a lot of messages that don’t require a response, but if I’m asking you about swapping, I would imagine you’d want to answer that. Jefferson, Georgia |

it erks me whenever i make a reasonable trade offer and i can tell that that person has looked at it (cause it’s not in bold print anymore) and it just sits there for DAYS! i don’t like my stuff sitting/ pending for that long, i could be trading it with someone else. And then I finally send them a message to please let me know what they think about the offer and they just decline without any explanation. Well jeeeez, wow. I guess it just boils down to poor communication skills. But on a lighter note, I would deal with this 100x over just to be on this site, cause I just love it and most of the wonderful ladies on here. I have gotten so many nice things and met so many new friends off here. Austin, TX |

This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine as well Erin :( If I see someone read the offer and not respond within 24 hours, I usually cancel it so my items can be back up. I don’y want my items(esp if just listed) disappearing so that people who log in and check recently rehashed items(like I do) won’t ever see them, because they’re sitting, waiting for the person to respond, which they normally never do. But like you said, I’d prob always dealw ith this because I love rehash :) Blanco, TX |

Another thing that totally IRKS me to no end… When people have more “You pick” offers then actual rehashes. Like seriously…? Not necessary. ONE or TWO is certainly enough. Spring Valley, CA |
|
Ktcoleman30 about 12 years ago | |
Having one or two is actually standard policy. I tend to remove excess “you pick” listings, as it clutters up the trading post. If you stumble across a member who has an excessive amount of these listings, please either message me with the profile link or post it here so I can start removing the excess ones. It really irritates me when people over-value their items. I was talking to one swapper about an item that has only been ‘a few times’, and hasn’t got the actual item pictured. It’s just like when you buy a car, and drive off the lot.. When you wear something, pull off the tags, or alter it in any way, that depreciates the value of your item. Like it or not, if you paid 70.00 for something, and wore it ‘2 or 3’ times that brings the value down. Especially if you dont have the actual picture. I don’t even know for sure what i am getting! Thoughts!? Roseville, Michigan |

Oh, I almost forgot.. People who obseessively post and repost! Day after day after day! I understand after a month or so resposting, but every other day with some people I see their same items!!! Roseville, Michigan |
