I have not sold a single thing on Etsy since November!! And i’ve been telling myself that I just need to get creative and put some new products up! Maybe that will help out my situation. But I just can’t think of anything to do! Plus materials are expensive to make things (I prefer upcycling clothing, etc). So we are talking dyes, paints, studs, bleach! Ugh. Spring Valley, CA |

I feel that way sometimes too! I thought you are a photographer as well? Selling prints seems to be fairly easy and cost next to nothing upfront. Plus, if you carry your camera with you most of the time then you’ll always come across inspiring content (that’s strictly my opinion:) I feel like times are still pretty tight though for lots of people…art is a frivalous purchase for folks. If your good at a variety of things you can always try your hand at what’s “in” for a few weeks. Make one and list it and then only make more per order :) I’ve sold 3 pix since march and have someone asking about one( fingers crossed cause she wants a big one!) but I’ve still only made $40… But…we do it because we love it right!? where it is hot and cold in the same season!, |

I don’t have an etsy store, and I’ve been trying to curb the urge to get one… I discovered nail art, and while I really do not have it in me to put fake nails on myself, I love decorating the blanks! I don’t have time to do it enough to support a store though. If you want to swap for material, I’ve got megatons, as I closed my wardrobe company almost two years ago and can’t bear to throw the stuff away :( Anyway, a blind suggestion – times are tight for a lot of people, so big ticket items may not move fast. Little splurges with a substantial markup seem to move ok right now. Manchester, New Hampshire |
