I plan to post clothes, accessories, books, CDs and DVDs. There are a few specific things that I am looking for: *black blazer (size 10 – 12, 42” bust, 20” back, shoulder to shoulder) *belt bag (length: at least 42”, not a large fanny pack, but a belt with a pouch large enough to fit a Samsung Galaxy S3) *rolling square storage crate (like the folding ones from Bed, Bath & Beyond that can be used for trunk storage and then used to roll groceries to your apartment, etc.) *Still Crazy DVD (movie with Bill Nighy & Bill Connolly – it’s hilarious but my VHS of it was crushed when moving)

Rehash started in December 2007. A few years ago Rehash was at its peak, but a good part of 2014 and all of 2015 the site was constantly down, and overrun by spammers when it was up. That was mainly due to my neglect. I rebuilt it from the ground up and relaunched June of this year. As you can imagine, the vast majority of users abandoned the site around 2015 so the relaunch was barely a step above starting from scratch. In the ~4 months since, we’ve had around 720 new users. Most of the time people sign up and never use it again, but there are always rock stars like yourself who love the idea enough to stick around. It’s slow growth; that’s how it’s always been.

I’m a software engineer who sucks at marketing. Rehash pretty much relies on Google and users sharing on social media to gain new users.

I addressed your app suggestion on your profile already, but for anyone else reading the gist of it is: I don’t have the time to build native mobile apps at the moment, but until I do, Rehash works well on mobile as it is.

Thank you for your response. I had no idea about the site being down and neglected and just coming back up in June. Makes a lot more sense now! I will expect many more people to come in time!

I actually use Rehash on mobile about 50% of the time! It’s been working great. Here’s hoping the community continues to grow with active users, these first few swaps I’ve been a part of have been fun.
