Is there anyway that Orlando or a rehash admin can announce that the site will be under construction for a certain amount of hours, rather than having a lot of error messages? Union City, California |

“How would others feel if tracking was required? Like if some where on the trade when you are ready to click the â??Iâ??ve shippedâ? you must enter tracking first â?¦it would help with swap lifting, right? And itâ??s not expensive considering we arenâ??t being charge a transaction feeâ?¦.” The only problem I see with this would be like this: I never give my tracking number until after it’s actually at the P.O. and I know sometimes swappers hit I’ve shipped right before they actually go the P.O. so, maybe it would work and it seems like a good idea to me. I know most people use them I know I always do. Also maybe if a portion of the “Forest and also the “Public Gallery” was say archived? Everything over three years old? Winter Springs , Florida |

Is there anyway that Orlando or a rehash admin can announce that the site will be under construction for a certain amount of hours, rather than having a lot of error messages? orlando said in a previous post that the error messages are due to the high volume of users trying to search and use the site as it is only large enough to “handle” a smaller volume than it currently has (we have more rehashers than he ever thought it would i suppose). so it doesn’t have anything to do with the “remodeling” of the site :) where it is hot and cold in the same season!, |

Super excited for a new Rehash site! I would love to see a new layout/interface for viewing someone’s rehashes. It’s fine for people who have a small list of rehashes, but I have to say that it’s very frustrating when I’m trying to view a list of hundreds! Even right click, open in new tab capabilities would be wonderful. And yes I agree, sizes should have to be posted so you can see them right away. Other than that I don’t really have any other issues…yes, the Error thing is annoying but we’ve gotta cut the guy some slack. And I actually haven’t really had any errors in quite a while now, I don’t know about anyone else. PASADENA, TX |

Why not store things that aren’t being used say the Public Galleries, profiles, posted items over three years old etc.. on the Vault Network? Wouldn’t that free up some space on the site and help things run smoother? Winter Springs , Florida |

Why not store things that aren’t being used say the Public Galleries, profiles, posted items over three years old etc.. on the Vault Network? Wouldn’t that free up some space on the site and help things run smoother? Space isn’t the problem (there’s plenty of free hard disk space on the sever), it’s a matter of congestion. Pretend Rehash were a big parking lot with 1,000 spots. That’s a mighty big parking lot! Let’s say Rehash only had 200 cars. There are 800 empty spots, so there’s plenty of space to go around. Now, the problem is this parking lot has a single lane for entering and exiting. If all the cars want to leave the lot at the same time, it causes a traffic jam as all the cars use that one exit to leave. It also gets complicated when all these cars are trying to leave using that one exit and some cars want to get in, but they too have to use that one exit (which is also the entrance.) As you can see, the problem with the parking lot is it should’ve been designed with more lanes to accommodate incoming and outgoing traffic. That’s what Rehash 2 will be like. And the reason it wasn’t built that way in the first place is that making a lot of such smart design requires a lot of time, and the original creators of the lot (mainly me) didn’t think so many cars would actually use it. Yes, there’s tons of space for cars, but that’s only because I had a lot of land to work with, but it’s not particularly good land, just big. If I had designed the parking lot in a better way (taking into account the relatively crappy land) it would’ve all worked out great. Does that make sense? BISCAYNE PARK, FL |

Yes, absolutely it makes a lot more sense now maybe the property should have been graded first? Just kidding! I know what you mean now. Thanks for the detailed answer. What fixes the entrance, exist issue? Do you work with appsy:daisy to redesign the issue? It seems like they should be able to aid with this instead of you dividing your time to address and fix it. The property isn’t so bad for what it needs to do if the parking lot were designed with the property in mind. What happened was I created Rehash as if it had amazing servers capable of hosting a bigger site, like match.com (I used match.com because it’ big, but not Facebook or Google big). I should’ve created it to match the sort of servers that host a site like makeupalley.com. Returning to the parking lot metaphor, I should’ve made better use of the space the property had, so instead of holding 1,000 cars it should maybe just hold 980 and use the extra space from the 20 cars to add an extra lane for incoming/outgoing traffic. As for appsy:daisy, that’s just a subset of Orpheux Design, an effectively defunct company which I own and exists for the sole purpose of pleasing Uncle Sam. Vault Networks is the hosting company of the server—they give me a discount. BISCAYNE PARK, FL |

Okay but, I just noticed the notifications under my profile and went to check it out, There are 300+ pages there and so I went to the last page and started deleting very old items, I mean really I need these? Probably not but, as I have been deleting them the old page numbers are not deleting themselves even if there is nothing on them? Some of them have but the deleted items and blank pages do not correspond and I’m probably wrong but, my thinking is more stuff junking up the site? Orlando I know you have the answer to this one and inquiring minds want to know. Thanks! Winter Springs , Florida |

That one is probably just a bug. It’s not doing anything to the speed of the site. BISCAYNE PARK, FL |

Thanks, just trying to maybe help out in any way to get rid of stuff that is not necessary or needed any long kind of like the same way I clean up files and odds and ends I’m not using on my P.C. but, what about old posts that some traders have that have not been on in say over about nine months.
