On monday, I’ll be shipping out two different packages: one size Small and one size Medium. Take what you like and keep it moving with the same number of items. Make a notation on the envelope about which person you are in the chain (e.g. #4). If you are number 5, send it back to me. Let’s see what happens. Asheville, NC |

Rather than go through some fancy sign-up process, I have started some un-solicited mystery swaps by sending packages to two of my favorite rehashers. If you receive a package from me, take what you want and pass it on to the next person with the same number of items in it. You choose who gets it. That way there is no coordination, no expectation, no fuss. It’s just pure bonus—a compliment from someone who thinks you rock. The fifth person can complete the circle by sending back to me. At that point, I’ll start it over and keep it going among the five people. Make a mark on the package that shows what number recipient you are. If you need to use a fresh box, no sweat. Try to send within a week of when you receive. Honestly, I’m doing it this way because I don’t actually care if this ever comes back to me. It’s good enough to think that one of you might be pleasantly surprised. Anything more just seems so complicated… Asheville, NC |

There is no need to have known about it. It’s totally open-ended. Make sure to do some great trades with several people, and you may be the one to whom they send the mystery box. Or start a new one and see what comes back to you! I had a great time sending mine out. In particular, the small box is tailored (I hope) to the tastes of the first recipient. That’s just fun as hell—feels more like a present than a business deal. Asheville, NC |

that does sound like an awesome idea and a lot of fun. I remember in high school a bunch of girls did the pantie exchange where we bought new pjs, underwear, socks w/e and mailed them to friends and we kept the chain going for awhile. oh btw, Hi everyone! I’m Tora, i just signed up today and am currently going through my closet to see what anyone might like. |

I just got a MYSTERY BOX in the mail. I don’t know what was more fun… opening it up and going through the BIG pile of fun clothes, or just getting the surprise package in the mail. I took out a cute dress and bangle and will be adding a couple things of my own before sending it off to it’s next destination… check your mailboxes!!! Lomita (near Los Angeles), CA |

Okay, there was a glitch with our wonderful MYSTERY BOX idea. The box is filled with clothing in small sizes (4-6) and not appropriate for the next recipient. So…. whoever is in the active group (go join if you want in!), please email me with your address so the box can continue it’s voyage. I did include a couple tops that are bigger, but it’s not fair to send a heavy box to someone that will just have to turn around and mail it out without any goodies for themself, right?
