Anyone notice that lately there are a lot of new rehashers….and that’s awsome!!! more things for us to trade…..but….. I also notice a lot of stock photos of different things per rehasher. (I might be completely wrong here, and bias since I got scam before) But I get suspicious about trading with such rehasher.

before you read on….(I’m not trying to put thoughts in anyone’s head, or accuse anyone, or hurt anyone at all….just simply stating how I feel)

It looks almost like they just search the web, and post those photos on here. (again, I might be wrong, maybe they just take very good photos, or shops a lot and trade last week’s clothes on here, or maybe they save a stock photo of everything they buy online just incase they rehash it later….many more reasons..) but I’m still just suspicious.

Or maybe they just own way way nicer things that I own, I don’t know. How can one tell?

(I know…if it worries me so much; then I should just not trade with them and stop wasting energy by posting this forum….but that’s what forums are for so that’s why I’m still typing and wasting energy)

Before I trade with anyone with no karma feedback, I always make sure they know that they have to ship first since they have no karma….Most of the time it’s a “no problem”. Few times, I get no response back at all whats-so-ever and the deal never goes through. How is one suppose to feel in this case? I move on…...but unsure if they are scammer or they just think I’m completely nut….

Does Rehash have a forum for newcomers…..like: “WELCOME….YOU MUST READ THESE BEFORE YOU START TRADING” BLA…BLA…BLA… THIS WILL LET SCAMMERS KNOW THAT IT’S HARD TO SCAM PEOPLE ON REHASH SO THEY STAY AWAY, AND KEEP THE GOOD REHASHERS HERE :)

I’ve noticed the same thing. I watch items like that, if I like them, though. If that person were to offer me a trade, I would not send my stuff until I receive my items from them. If there is no actual activity from that person, I just stop watching their items. It does look like they just scan the internet for pictures and post them here.

Just a heads up the pics of my body shop items I take off the website as they show the product better than my pics. As you can see by my feedback I am not a scammer just wanted to let everyone know. I agree though as far as purses, clothing etc. Stock photos are suspicious as I want to see what condition the items are in. Just had to add my 2 cents. Have a great day.

Has anyone had a problem with ILoveMoo2 on this site? She is on another swap site that I am on and her tokens (karma) is everywhere.

Correction:: She is on that sites “swaplifters” forum. She is one of the many lovely ladies that like to take but not give. She seems to give to a select lucky few.

Oh, absolutely. I read all of your concerns and try acting upon the reasonable ones as quickly as I can. When you feel a member needs some looking into, just flag their profile and I’ll check it out. If something is awry I’ll take action, otherwise I’ll wait until I have more to go on.

Perhaps you can contact the admins of swaptawk? I don’t have the URL offhand, sorry but lot’s of other swappers should have it.

I’m not on swaptawk now but I was a member years ago from swapping on makeupalley.com. There are lots of posts & threads about current & former swaplifters.
