I not sure if everyone else is experiencing this but what the heck is the deal with the slow shipping; now its getting out of hand I have so many trades that i am still waiting for from the past few weeks. Now i specifically ask when can you ship because if its going to be a few weeks i am not interested. I am tired of hearing the whole i am short on money well then DO NOT make an obligation!!! I mean its one thing if you keep someone in the loop and tell them look i can not ship until so and so. What is everyone else thoughts? Brigantine, NJ |

I’ve started posting my next shipping date on my profile, and I’ll tell the other swapper if there is a delay. I hate to say it, but I’m noticing that some of the younger swappers don’t seem to feel the need to ship quickly. However, they seem to expect everyone else to ship to them pronto. i agree. 1. trades should not be initiated if you know you can’t ship out within 2 weeks. 2. if you accept an offer made by someone you need to let them know up front if it is going to take a while to ship. 3. dont’ say you will ship out in 2 weeks and then cancle after the 2 weeks has passed and your person has been waiting on you to ship. 4. don’t be a douche! where it is hot and cold in the same season!, |

i agree with both of you. A lot of newbies are saying I am shipping tomorrow then when 2 days go by and still shows as not shipped I message and then its a week later before they can ship. I purposely stopped trades last week because i am leaving for vacations in 2 weeks and still not sure i would have received some of them. I refuse to ship first I have over 150 good karma (1 BAD from Kayla). I am going to land up cancelling some because it is just ridiculous then most that i receive are missing items, CRAPPY condition its crazy. Rehash is not what it was a few months ago. A LOT of new people are saying they will ship out within the next day, week, etc and weeks go by without even getting an email. I dont mind waiting personally, because I get delayed myself quite a bit. However, its one thing to agree to a swap and then ignore the person for 2 weeks and even ship out OTHER peoples items who they swapped with AFTER you. I post right on my profile page that I do ship late sometimes and if it’s a problem, not to ask to swap with me. Like I said, I dont mind waiting, but communication really is key, it makes difference, knowing whats going on compared to being stuck in the dark, wasting your time. I’ve deleted probably 5 swaps in the past couple months from newbies who I havnt heard back from, after sending numerous emails for about a month. meh. Blanco, TX |

It’s irritating, because I usually ship out the next day, if not, a few days later. I don’t mind waiting a week or two, but a month is ridiculous. |

For me, I try my best to ship when I can. Mind you, the people who purchase usually get sent out day-of or next day, and then whatever money I have left from the purchase goes to shipping my smaller trades. Though, I have had two trades where people messed up, so their way of replacing the item for me is waiting longer for me to ship. Fort Worth, Tx |

I’ve had a few slow shipping trades lately with little or no communication. It is irritating, but I’m pretty patient and give a lot of understanding to money issues where shipping is concerned. I have a shipping schedule of sorts (ship on the 2nd and 16th) but usually I hate seeing the stuff piled up so I’ll ship other times too. I swear though Christina… I no sooner hit the accept button on a trade with you then you’ve already shipped and it’s sitting in my door step! :D |

Lately i have been shipping a little more than usually because i am trying to clear all trades before i leave for vacation but i have so many people who say i am shipping and NOTHING it drives me insane but now i am just canceling especially if i message and hear nothing!!! It’s quite irritating. I ship within 2 or 3 days of a trade, and I’m very patient. But I don’t like not hearing from the trader for a while and then I have to ask… and even then I don’t get a definite answer. I make it a point to ask if the trader can ship within 2 weeks, if not I hold off on my end until hey are prepared to ship. Even then though… I end up waiting a very long time :/ ... Stockton, CA |

I agree with you Caitie, I think 2 weeks is more than reasonable. I understand that people work and may have schedules that eclipse normal PO hours (mine often does), but if that’s the story I’d appreciate being told up front. Manchester, New Hampshire |

Trading isn’t work, it should be fun and it’s not always the priority, I think we all get that. I have no problem waiting. When I need an item right away I’ll ask nicely =D .. otherwise it’s fine as long as I’m told up front what’s going on. Stockton, CA |

I fully expect the trade to be COMPLETED within a 2 week period. If you don’t have time to go to the po, use flat rate envelopes – postage is printed from home and the mailman picks it up from your doorstep – very easy. I think that any longer than that, especially without communication, is just unreasonable. Maybe we should ot for a star rating system like ebay so others can see how fast people typically ship. |

I am having this problem too!! There is one person that ive been waiting on the package for 20 days (she said she has shipped twice), also another person owes me my end and its been 16 days, another owes me and its been 19 days (however she has contacted me and let me know what’s up so i am not worried about that one!), and the last has told me 3 or 4 times that she is going to ship and still hasnt! this is getting annoying! please dont hit the shipped button if you havent shipped! or are not planning on shipping when you tell me you are going to! I try to always ship asap, and if i havent been able to i let the rehasher know what’s going on, i expect the same curtsy please! Also, i did not list the names of the rehashers i am waiting on because i want to keep it private, and not call them out on anything, however if i am swaplifted i will give out names. eads, tn |

oh! and i forgot to add that i have no problem at all with a trade taking a while, like if you cant ship right away that’s fine i understand if you have other things to do, just PLEASE stay in contact with me and let me know what’s going on, for example, I have traded with Lilliane and the trades take a while because i live in TN and she lives in Brazil, its about a month of waiting, which i am fine with because she has kept in contact with me! thanks lilliane! eads, tn |
