I still can’t delete messages, don’t see a delete button. Also, do I need to delete the 233 rehashes I have that have previously been traded or deleted? Don’t see a delete button to do that either.

I can see some pictures but only the newest rehashes, the others say picture not available.

I always used the watch function. I don’t like to offer trades unless someone is watching an item of mine. Similarly I don’t like getting trade offers unless it’s for something on my watchlist.

I’ll have message deletion out later today. To delete a Rehash, edit it (go to Home, then Rehashes, and hover over one and click the edit button or just view it from anywhere and click the button) and at the very bottom you’ll see a red link to delete it. Since so many people have many old Rehashes they want gone, I’ll add a method to mass-delete them later today as well.

If older photos don’t appear, that’s probably a consequence of the migration; unfortunately some older photos didn’t make it.

Trades are done differently now. If you like something someone else has, you send a request, you no longer offer something else in return. The recipient of that request can then either choose stuff they want from you (or soon, from a third person) or decline your request. Items will no longer disappear from view when someone offers/requests. I’m also going to be adding analytics so you can see who views your Rehashes. Given that, a watch list just seems unnecessary now, but after using the new system if people still feel the need to have them then I can add them back.

I’m trying to make Rehash better based on all the data collected over the 9 (!) years it’s been chugging along.

Got it done faster than I thought. Go to your Rehash section (Home -> Rehashes, or use the dropdown on the top right) and it behaves similar to messages where you can check many and bulk delete.

Thanks Orlando for bringing this site back up. It was driving me mad that the site didn’t work anymore and there was no explanation to what happened to it whatsoever anywhere on the web!

Anyway.. as far as “Watching” items goes… I’d say it’s a pretty necessary feature. How are you supposed to keep track of all the things you like? How would you find all the stuff you looked at again later? It really helps for organizing and planning the trades. It also helps with knowing what people like of mine, because I like to throw things in for free with their package… etc.

julitc  Yeah, at some point a couple of years ago the server became too overloaded with junk, lacking updates, and running on a very old, messy codebase (it started off as a learning project). I started working on this version but didn’t really have the time to keep at it. Recently, however, I decided I’d just take a couple of weekends to get it complete enough for a release.

I was really hoping the new trade system would make watching items obsolete, but based on the feedback a lot of you have given me I should bring it back. I guess I’ll put it together and roll it out when I release the analytics stuff where you guys will be able to see stats on how many views your Rehashes have (and who has viewed). I’ve got a lot of overzealous ideas, but some of the crazier ones aren’t feasible without a larger user base.

Still can’t delete any messages either with the bulk delete or going into the message to delete each reply. I am however no longer getting updates in my e-mail from attempting to delete the messages so, that is improved. Thank you for fixing that part.

When I uploaded my pictures a lot of them turned upside down or sideways for some reason even though they were all right-side up on my laptop- is there a way to rotate photos when editing a rehash?

Don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this but, my notifications keep going up and everytime I check it’s the same messages and trade negotiations. I can’t mark any read or delete any messages and one of the trade I removed is still listed. What can I do to remedy this?

I knew in releasing this that there would be a bunch of bugs because I released before this was done, I just wanted to get it out there since what was up wasn’t working well either. No problem and thanks so much. I was just looking for maybe a work around with just that one thing that is left. I did work around the deleting old trades that migrated over and revamped my profile so, those things are completed. The site overall looks really great, fresh, streamlined and clean also easy to navigate. Thanks also for re-adding the watch option. Would it be possible to also make that feature so we can see who is watching our items?

The notifications thing I don’t see happening to me personally, but it very well could be a bug. I need to dig a little deeper.

The ability to see who is watching your stuff is coming, it’s just being incorporated into some other tools for you guys.
