Usually in your first pregnancy you take a few months to start “showing” because your uterus is a tight muscle that is fairly resistant to expansion. During later pregnancies, the uterus is not as tight (because it has already been stretched out), so for each consecutive pregnancy you will start to show sooner :)

i try to mention this to every pregant woman….look up “kindermarket” consignment sale in your area. twice a year! amazing deals on everything from maternity to childs size 16! toys, furniture, clothes, etc! save money and meet more moms/families in your area :)

Hey Kitty, Don’t know yet, won’t know for another four weeks. But I am definitely in the belly bands and maternity pants and starting to show even though I’m just past the four month mark. Probably because I’m petite and had no morning sickness to speak of so I’ve only been putting on weight! You’re due in two months or so, right?

I’m due next month! (the 23rd or 25th)/. I’m still not in maternity clothes yet, but I do have a bump! I’m so glad you’re gaining – it’s really scary when you can’t gain the weight because it has all sorts of consequences for baby!

If you need them, I have tons of white baby hangers, and my baby should be out of her 0-3 month clothes by the time yours is here (she has unisex, boys and girls clothing).

Oh, ps – you should check out pottery barn kids for nursery collections; they have absolutely the best designs.

I’m a new member of the Expectant Mom club too – due date is September 20th! I started showing pretty early and had to implement some creative dressing techniques until after my CVS results when my husband and I agreed to announce our news. I’ve been told that my prominent bump is because I’m expecting a boy.

I’m also on the hunt for maternity clothes. I’ve grown out of anything resembling my normal size 4. So, I’ve been just wearing wrap dresses and A-line skirts which are actually still size Small, but are more forgiving in the right areas!

If anyone has a doula recommendation or knows of Bradley Method classes in the LA area, please let me know.
