Many users have suggested that being able to view Rehashes in a list with links open-able in a new tab/window would save time & be easier, especially with users with long lists of Rehashes. Well, I figured out an easy & quick way to do this using the current version of Rehash & Rehash’s search function. This is what you do: In the description box for each of your rehashes, add your Rehash username – I put mine at the end of the description. You can also add your username as a tag under the “tag” section. Tada! Now other users can simply enter your username into the Rehash search bar (or click on your username in the tag cloud on your profile) and it will pull up a list of your rehashes (30 per page), all with links that can be opened in new windows/tabs. You can also post a link to the list in your profile to make it easier – just search your username using “thorough search”, then use the search page link. It’s quick and easy to do – it took me less than a half hour to do for all 82 of my rehashes, and will make looking through your items much easier for other people, especially if you have a lot of items :) When posting new rehashes, just be sure to add your username to the description box & tag box, and you’ll be good to go :) If you want to get really fancy & set it up so that people can search for specific things within your rehashes, just add search terms such as clothing type or size to the description. Ex. If I made sure that dress, medium, and my username were in the description box for my item, people could search my username and “dress” to see all my dresses. The tag cloud works even when the search function is down – so its good to have that as a second option! I hope this helps out while waiting for Rehash 2.0 – where I’m hoping rehashes will be easier to view without using a workaround :) If you have any comments or feedback on this, please comment on this thread and let me know!
