I GOTTA SAY, I’M GUILTY OF THAT. I have about 8 brand new shirts on there that I put “FOR TRADE or FOR SALE for $$”. Let me explain myself: The reason why I even mention “FOR TRADE OR FOR SALE” on here, is because I love these shirts so much that I have to buy them for myself-—-but they’re only sold by the manufacturer, and for me to buy from them, I need to buy many of the same shirt. So I bought 4 different styles of shirts and get around 25 shirts total…....I keep one shirt of each style to myself, I give-away a couple to family members/friends, and offer the left-over for trade or sale on here. The price that I charge on here is the price that I paid for plus shipping fee. I’m not planning on making money on here, just thought I can pass the saving to someone else who might like these shirts as much as I do. I also accept trade for them too. I wrote the words “FOR TRADE OR FOR SALE” on only these 8 New shirts.. and the reason behind it- is because I bought them for so cheap that I want to pass this saving on to someone else who don’t have anything to trade me—I’m not planning on getting Rich by selling 8 shirts on here…....I have over 150+ items (some new some used) and they all are for TRADE only…...... I’ve had people that offer to buy the other things of mine, and I refused; because I rather trade than sell them…... But if by putting the words “FOR TRADE OR FOR SALE” on my listing make anyone don’t want to trade on this site anymore, then please let me know so I can remove these words. I want more people to trade here. I’m totally loving the “trading” idea, that’s why I’m here and that’s why I have over 160 items for trades on here…...

I use Rehash for swapping only. I do sell some of my things on Swapstyle, but I don’t like that site or the people who frequent it. They have a lot more trouble with swaplifting than Rehash, from what I’ve noticed. And Rehash just looks and feels nicer. As far as I’m concerned, Rehash is my first love and I agree with Ambyr. I get a lot of excitement from trading something I don’t want anymore for something awesome and new (to me) that I do want. And I also sympathize with Jay. As a near-broke college student, this site has done a lot of good in my l ife.

I’ve noticed a lot more outright selling on this site. :-( Hope it’s not the start of a new trend. If I wanted to buy things, I’d be at Ebay, Craigslist, or any store I live near. I came to rehash for trading, fun, and the environment!

How do you feel about “for sale for $xx or trade for the right item” kinda seems to be to be like the people who try to sell puppies on rescue sites by saying “PUPPIES FOR SALE FOR $600! or adoption for the right person…..”
