Gladiz and I are discussing the issue with the blank rehashes being posted. You know, the ones that say “Whatever you want!” or “Your pick!”. Well, some people are for, some are against and we want an actual vote. I, for one, get annoyed by them. They cloud up the new rehashes pages, I find myself scrolling through 5 or 6 blank rehashes to get to actual rehashes. Not only that, but if someone sends me an offer with something blank, and I don’t see it for a little while (I do sleep sometimes), then my item(s) are temporarily deleted from the site, keeping others from seeing my rehashes. I understand that people wanna get “dibs” on items, and are afraid of other people snatching them up, but it’s not courteous to the other gals. Either way, you know my opinion now, but I’d like to hear the community’s. Thanks! Sandy Fort Worth, Tx |

I’m annoyed by the blank rehashes too and I wouldn’t mind if they were deleted. It’s not that hard to send a message and ask what someone is interested in. |

I agree it is kinda lame, just send a pm and ask if they are interested in a trade! Arbuckle, Ca |

I am for the you pick ads, but only in moderation. You don’t need like 10+ of them among your rehases. (I have seen the you pick sometimes accounting for 1/2 of a persons stuff.) And I think you should only make the ad when you are going to send it, and then delete it once the person responds back. I think a person is more likely to respond to an offer than a PM. Besides, if the you pick ads are not allowed, I believe someone would just send you an offer with anything else off their list, tying up your items in a trade you might not want anyways. Well, you really only need to make one, because when that person clicks ‘Negotiate’, it puts it back into your rehashes. Unless someone is making 10 offers at once…which is ridiculous…but eh. Fort Worth, Tx |

I find them annoying too. I have it listed on my profile to send me a PM, not one of those “you pick” trades. I haven’t had any problem with that since then. But, maybe I’m missing the point, again :-) Jefferson, Georgia |

I’m against the “you pick” rehashes. I dont like people sending requests with those in it, because if I put new rehashes up, people ALWAYS do this and I know what you mean Sandy, it takes my items off and people miss out on seeing them. I’d much rather send someone an email to ask if they like my items and vice versa. Blanco, TX |

I like the “you pick” rehashes, it makes it so much easier to see what someone wants from me. If they send a message I have to try and figure out which items they’re describing, which takes forever. Also, I’ve noticed almost half the people I send a message to never get back to me…even if they’re the one who initiated our discussion. Most people respond to a “you pick” trade request, so I find it works better. YONKERS, NY |

I personally think its good to have a “You Pick” or “TRADE” or “SWAP” item. Before i added any I would get random request with items they pick of theirs kind of think that is real STUPID but if they have a “You Pick” or “TRADE” or “SWAP” item you can negotiate and choose items. Some people don’t respond to PMs and you would have to go into detail on the item(s) that you are interested in which is kind of a pain just my opinion. Brigantine, NJ |

Alrighty then it’s decided, no more than two ‘you pick’? |

They are kinda annoying. I wish it was like swapstyle where you could send a blank request for the items you wanted. then the other person would choose. you could renegotiate the swap over and over without having to begin a new swap request. Dacula, GA |

I hate hate HATE the “you pick” thing. Getting “dibs” on an item is just stupid, all you’re doing is taking something off the trading post to just almost inevitably get rejected. I put something about this in my profile and it still happens. PM is the way to go, and it used to be that everyone did that. I would vote to get rid of it entirely. It’s a passive aggressive way of forcing someone to look at your items, in order to get their stuff back on the trading post, instead of checking out your PM when they have the time. I’d prefer that they don’t crowd out new rehashes, but I see why people do it, definitely. Suppose you’re trying to negotiate 4 swaps at once, or a person who’s sat on your trade request for ever suddenly decides to let it go and leave your “you pick” hanging? Not their fault. I’d say rather than being annoyed, maybe someone could think of a better way to extend an open ended offer to another member? D Manchester, New Hampshire |

Agree. Also it would be good if a swap wasn’t removed until a swap AGREED upon, not just proposed. That way you could have like 4 swap requests going on for the same item. Besides, it isn’t gone til it’s gone! Dacula, GA |

I agree with Nona, that’s honestly one of my peeves. If I’ve got 3 people watching something, probably even talked to some of them about it, and then suddenly poof it’s disappeared! Because someone makes an unsolicited offer. Then, my watchers will swap the things I’m interested in, reasonably figuring that all bets are off :( Maybe it’s just because I’m an ultra hardcore negotiator, but that little anomaly often throws a wrench in my gears… D Manchester, New Hampshire |

There are still several posts listed (including 3 recent from user loashley) that are “for sale only”. Not to mention these are obviously knock-offs. JACKSONVILLE, FL |
